Dolly for Christmas: The True Story of a Family's Christmas Miracle
All Daisy wants for Christmas is a little brother or sister. Her parents have tried everything to make her dream come true, but nothing is working. So Daisy takes matters into her own hands, praying every day and writing a letter to Santa Claus about her one and only wish.
Daisy's parents are touched by her strong belief and grateful for her help, but as they explain, sometimes you have to wait. God will give you the perfect gift when the time is right.
In this heartwarming holiday tale, Kimberly Schlapman shares the true story of the Christmas when her family became whole.
Don't Call Me Bear!
G'day, my name is Warren and I've got something to share... Just because I'm furry DOESN'T MEAN THAT I'M A BEAR. Koala is sick of being called the wrong thing. Koalas are NOT bears, and it is time that everyone knows it! Follow this feisty little koala as he explains why he is certainly NOT a bear (and why no one ever seems to believe him). Rich with author-illustrator Aaron Blabey's hysterical text and unforgettably wacky illustrations -- plus nonfiction facts woven throughout -- Don't Call Me Bear! is a hilarious story about making sure everyone knows exactly who you are!
Don't Let the Beasties Escape This Book!
Godfrey, a peasant boy who works for the lord and lady of the castle, finds a bestiary, or illustrated book of beasts, on the way to do his chores one morning. He begins inventing his own story, placing "Sir Godfrey" at the center of numerous heroic deeds. Sir Godfrey battles a lion, tames a unicorn, defeats a griffin, conquers a bonnacon, and triumphs over a dragon. Godfrey does not realize that each time he says the name of an animal, it magically emerges from the book, causing mayhem and inadvertently accomplishing his chores. The laughs pile up and the tension mounts: When will Godfrey realize that all this outrageous stuff is going on?
This book also contains engaging backmatter with information on life in the Middle Ages and a mini-bestiary drawn from original 13th-century manuscripts. Don't Let the Beasties Escape This Book! is a humorous introduction to the medieval world.

Dragons?!
Dragons?! tours the globe describing the discoveries and ancient beliefs about dragons as mythological monsters, deities, creators of the world and guardians of its riches. The book tells the many stories of fierce battles, superpowers, mysteries of nature, local lore and legend. Thankfully, heroes abound and a clutch of cheeky chicks guides readers through the pages.
Dragons?! opens with Pliny the Elder's Encyclopedia written more than 2000 years ago in which he mentions dragons, the enormous creatures described by returning travelers. We know now, of course, that these were whales, octopuses, elephants and other giants of nature but Pliny called them "dragons" and it stuck. In this book, readers will learn a great deal about dragons while enjoying Lila Prap's trademark illustrations.
As imagination took hold, the dragons became increasingly ferocious. Giant fanged, fire-breathing creatures morphed with snakes, roosters, flying birds and reptilian lizards to become enormous bloodthirsty monsters with insect legs, multiple heads and batlike wings. But not everyone thought the dragons were evil or dangerous; the Chinese believed they brought good fortune.
There is an exemplary amount of information in Dragons?! presented in a decidedly friendly way. Children will be captivated and will surely want to learn more about these mythological beings. Vividly illustrated and humorous: Lila Prap does it again.

Dumpster Dog
"This chapter book―already popular in France, where it has been made into a hit TV show―is for kids who can appreciate a little more action and a lot more voice in their reading. (There's more than a hint of Lemony Snicket's dark hilarity in Gutman's writing.)"―Jenny Rosenstrach, The New York Times
Dumpster Dog dreams of treats, balls, and leashes―he wants someone to play with, someone who will take him on long walks, someone who will feed him―he wants an owner. So begins Dumpster Dog's search for a human companion. But he will soon learn that finding a good owner isn't as easy as it sounds, and that the world can be a dangerous place.

Ear
When Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh cuts off his ear, the ear is suddenly left alone and headless. What will become of her? Where should she go? What should she do? Aware of how small and insignificant she is in the big, wide world, the ear experiences something of an identity crisis. She simply doesn't know who she is anymore. But thanks to a downcast frog with a heavy heart who simply needs to be listened to, she realizes what she can offer to the world: a sympathetic ear.
News of the ear's unique ability to listen spreads, and soon animals travel from far and wide just to visit her. But the ear's newfound happiness is threatened when she is caught up in a spider's web of gossip and lies. The ear's new friends, grateful for everything she has done for them, come to her rescue. And from that day on, the ear never feels headless again.
Piret Raud's hand-drawn artwork is breathtaking for its exquisite detail. Vibrant colors and bold compositions complement this beguiling story about identity, kindness, and friendship.
